About Speednote

One ratio, clearly labelled.

Speednote helps you inspect the arithmetic linking constant playback rate, pitch interval and elapsed duration.

You can start from a multiplier, a signed speed-change percent, an equal-tempered interval, or a source and target duration. They drive one coupled model. A result is a numerical planning reference rather than an audio effect, player control or confirmation of a recording's content.

A small, inspectable calculation

The calculator runs in your browser without an account. Its reports keep the current multiplier, speed labels, interval and available duration figures together with the model assumption. The guide provides original examples and primary formula references. This independent site is not affiliated with or endorsed by Audacity, UNSW, W3C, WHATWG, Google or Cloudflare.

There is no audio upload, microphone permission, file playback or background processing. A pitch-preserving player can behave differently from this coupled model. We do not predict sound quality or choose a processing method for a particular recording.
